Colours Connect Privacy Notice

Why this Notice matters

At Colours Connect, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Notice explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. What information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Transactional details (payments, invoices, records of services provided)

  • Technical information (IP address, browser type, how you use our website or online tools)

  • Communication preferences (your choices around marketing or updates)

We do not collect “special category data” (such as health, ethnicity, or biometric data).

Who we are

Colours Connect Limited is a company registered in the United Kingdom. When this Notice refers to “we”, “our” or “us”, it means Colours Connect Limited.

As the data controller, we decide how and why your personal information is used.

How we collect your data

We may collect your information in several ways, including when you:

  • Complete a Colours Connect assessment;

  • Attend a Colours Connect event, workshop, or debrief;

  • Work with an accredited Colours Connect practitioner;

  • Register on our website or fill in an online form;

  • Contact us directly (email, phone, or otherwise);

  • Interact with our website (see our Cookie Policy).

We may also receive information indirectly from your employer (if they provide you access to our products) or from one of our trusted delivery partners.

Our assessments and profiles

Colours Connect uses questionnaires and assessment tools to help individuals and teams understand their colour dynamics. To create your personal, we use your name, email address, and your questionnaire responses.

Your responses are stored securely so that we can:

  • Regenerate or update your profile if needed;

  • Track your learning and development journey;

  • Support accredited practitioners in their work with you;

  • Provide comparisons over time if you choose to revisit the assessment.

If you do not wish to appear on a team wheel, you can opt out at any time by emailing dpo@coloursconnect.com and notifying your practitioner or employer.

Who we share your data with

We may share your information with:

  • Accredited Colours Connect practitioners (so they can work with you effectively);

  • Your employer, if they have commissioned your assessment or workshop;

  • Approved partners who deliver Colours Connect services;

  • Service providers who supply IT, administrative, and support systems.

We do not sell your personal data.

Where information is shared outside the UK/EEA, we will ensure appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are in place to keep your data protected.

Our legal basis for processing

We only use your personal information when the law allows us to. The main grounds we rely on are:

  1. Contract: to deliver the products or services you (or your employer) have requested.

  2. Legitimate interests: to support and improve our services while respecting your rights.

  3. Legal obligations: where we must comply with the law.

  4. Consent: where you have given us clear permission (e.g., for marketing emails). You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

How long we keep your information

  • Assessment and profile data: retained for 5 years from the last time it was accessed.

  • Other personal data: kept only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected and in line with our legal obligations.

After this period, data will either be securely deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the information we hold about you;

  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;

  • Request the deletion of your data;

  • Object to how we use your data;

  • Ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances;

  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format;

  • Withdraw consent where you have given it.
